Canada day bike race

Yesterday was Canada day and being in Canada, I had the opprotunity to witness some festivities even though I was working from an office in downtown Vancouver. The office I was working

from had a view of part of the bike course that was taking place in Yaletown that afternoon. I took some pictures of the course and some of the bikers, including one from the view from the office. The professional racers went late in the day and that meant I had a chance to sit and watch the professional men’s race. I almost forgot I could take video with my camera so here are a few photos and a video. Note, the lead guy, Svein Tuft of Symmetrics Cycling, lappedΒ  everyone and managed to catch up to the 2nd and 3rd place riders and lead them into the finish. Wow! He’s on his way to the Olympic games in Beijing.
