Mike sends >15 5.13’s and 1 14a in Rifle, Co in 6 days

I finally met up with Mike in his hometown, Kelowna, where we have begun consolidating gear and etc. to begin our next leg of our climbing tour together. One of the first things I did after arriving was get online to check my mail and I stumbled across two very cool sites boasting Mike’s achievements in Rifle, Co.  The first one is on the breaking news section of Gripped.com. The second one (was actually shown to me by his mum after hearing me boast about the Gripped news headline) is from the Denver Post. Unfortunately, the online version of the Denver Post does not show the 2 photos of him (one on the front page of the sports section and the other, a big inset. There’s a quote from him in the text that is consistent in both articles.  Anyway, Mike is too humble to boast about his achievements, but he mentioned something like sending more than 15 routes graded 5.13a and harder (including 4 5.13d’s and 1 5.14a) in the 6 days of climbing he was there. The man is a machine!  🙂  I only wish I could have been there to witness.

Great job, Mike!
