US Visas for Poles approved by US Senate, the House approval still needed
The Immigration Bill that passed recently in US Senate includes an amendment to add Poland to the list of countries whose citizens can enter United States without a visa. The amendment sponsored by Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) and Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) spells conditions for adding a country that only Poland meets. The Bill may not pass the vote by the House of Representatives as several aspects of it, notably a path to citizenship, are controversial. Let’s hope a compromise is reached that includes the amendment. This is the time to press your representative to support the amendment!
